Frequently asked questions
How does the included credit work?
Every seat includes monthly credit — $100 (10,000 work units) on Pro, $250 (25,000 work units) on Enterprise — pooled across your organization, so a heavy week for one teammate draws on the shared balance rather than hitting an individual cap. The credit resets at the start of each billing period.
What is a work unit?
A work unit is how your balance is spent, and it costs one cent — 100 to the dollar. Every balance and cap reads in dollars with its work-unit figure beside it; usage tables read in work units, because there the question is which agent or session drew more. Units cover everything a session consumes — the models it calls and the computer it works on. Harder work draws more units, because it takes more to do: a long research task with a lot of reading draws more than a quick question. A typical session is a few hundred units. Your Billing tab shows the price, and your Usage tab shows where the units went, broken down by team, agent, and session.
What happens when the credit runs out?
Add credit in packs of $25, $100, $250, or $1,000, paid up front. A session that is mid-flight when the balance hits zero pauses safely and resumes once you top up; scheduled runs wait and notify your billing admin. You can also enable auto-top-up with a monthly cap so this never needs manual attention.
Does unused credit roll over?
The monthly included credit resets each period. Purchased packs are different: they stay valid for 12 months from purchase. Credit expiring soonest is spent first, which normally means the monthly allotment goes before purchased packs.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is two months free: $2,000 per seat per year on Pro and $5,000 on Enterprise, against $200 and $500 monthly.
Is there a free trial?
No. The lowest-commitment way to evaluate Workprentice is a single Pro seat for one month — cancel anytime. For team evaluations, contact us about a guided pilot and we will set your organization up with trial credit.
Can a Pro organization try Enterprise?
Yes. Every Pro organization can turn on a one-time 30-day trial of the Enterprise controls — governance policies, the audit log, and the larger context window — while keeping Pro billing and Pro credit.
How do seats work?
Your organization is the billed entity. Everyone in the organization occupies a seat at the same tier; adding a member mid-cycle bills the prorated seat fee and adds their prorated credit to the pool, and removing one reduces the next invoice.
